Ingredients
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 egg, room temperature
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, spooned and leveled
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
4 Tbs unsalted butter, melted
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 cup powdered sugar
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Line baking sheets with Simply Done® Parchment Paper.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat the 1 cup of butter and the brown sugar until fluffy. Add 1/3 cup of maple syrup, the egg and vanilla. Beat until creamy. On low speed, slowly add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Fold in the butterscotch chips and pecans.
  3. Scoop out rounded tablespoons, and roll into balls. Place the dough balls two inches apart on the baking sheets. Bake for 14 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  4. To make the glaze, combine the melted butter, maple syrup and powdered sugar. Drizzle lightly over the cooled cookies.
